Security architects concentrate on security and protection. They develop systems that secure the infrastructure from attacks.

While a solution architect thinks, “Does it fit performance and budgetary limitations?”
A security architect thinks, “What are potential vulnerabilities, and how can they be protected?”

The certifications for these roles are not the same either. On one side, there are certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect and TOGAF; on the other, there are CISSP, CISM, CCSP, and SABSA.
